And I also saw at the TV there are a few minutes that the Ozone layer whole over the antarctic is for the first time in regression, the whole is smaller than the last year at the same period so it's a good new it shows that we can do something to the environ by reducing our petrol consummation !

you make a classique mitstake...
the hole on the ozone layer was not creat by the CO2 but by the CFC (Chlorofluorocarbone) who was since 1990 (more or less) forbiden.

I did a TPE about biocarburants last year, i think it's not a great
solution. Because, to make biocarburants he had some fruits, cereales
etc... But our agriculture destroys environnement because we use
petrol, machins and manures which destroy our planet. Then there are a
lot of conditions, which we weren't careful like machins to make
biocarburants and chimical products which create a lot of CO2.

I'am agree with you Drax.

There is more than 850 000 000 people in the world who are not able to eat enough. I think in fact, it's horrible to drive with the food they need.

But biocarburants are not make with apple or steak.
Biocarburants are make with vegetal oil, no ? Eat only vegetal oil, it's not good. And eat petrol it's not good too ^^

The differents Oils vegetal are made with several cereals which are the base of food in many poor countries (rice, wheat, corn...and so on)
where off course they don't eat meat every day.
If we use plenty of biocarburants, the cereals prices will increase a lot...
We also forget something :
If we use only biocarburants, we will need to increase the cereals production. To increase cereals production, we will need more space so we will have to destroy plenty of trees and it's not really our purpose...Agriculture is not good for our planet also.

To conclude I want to say that the best combustible is the Hydrogene because it require "water" to properly work and it reject water...

Well Messaryhn, first we ve to know exactly what is a geek.
In fact, for some people, a geek is a sort of first step, before becoming a no life.
For other people, a geek is only a person who is fond of something, who spend nearly all his time in this thing. Generally, his occupation is a "strange" hobby (or several strange hobbies), with a very small community, or a virtual one. (it could be role playing games, Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, but also painting and playing warhammer, playing Magic or reading everytime)

In fact, i think i am a geek because :

- i use a computer several hours every day (between 1 to 4 hours)
- i used to play Warhammer,Magic,Baldur's Gate,T4C,Ogame...and so on
- i am fond of fantasy and Science fiction, i've read the Lord of the rings, a lot of Dungeons and Dragons stories...and so on.
- i enjoy strange movies, like 'Zombies' or 'Bad Taste', i even like bad movies like 'Puma man' or 'White Fire'.
- i am an I.T student
- i used to play also "real" role playing games
- i am allways very interested by strange games, like Munchkin or Citadelles.

I am off course a computer addict, but if it's impossible for me to use internet for several weeks, it doesn't matter really. I mean that if computers dissapear, i could live without it. (and maybe it could be positive for me)

But i don't think i am a no life, because i ve a social life, friends, a girl friend, and i dont spend all my life on my computer.

PS: i think speaking english is a very good idea, we need practice a lot ! (i've learn new words with this little discussion)

I think, there are a lot of things to do are better than computing, or if can say : "geeking".

But, I think the most dangerous are the role-playing games on the net. Because you can spend a lot of time with them. You have to create a character, and improving him.

So I think we can use computer, but with moderation, like TV, alcohol, ... Smile
